Bought myself a new camera with my birthday money. DSLR.  Nikon D3000 with the kit lens 18-55mm. Hoping to get a telephoto lens once I have the money! Super happy and excited with this camera! :D

Yesterday I made a homemade light tent, following a tutorial I found online. I was a little worried it wasn't going to work out, but it works amazingly well! Its a little sketchy looking because it is made of cardboard, an old t-shirt and bristol board. I absolutely loved the results, and I think its pretty darn close to a real light box. I definitely recommend you look up how to make one of your own if you take pictures of small objects/macro. Well, I haven't been on here in quite a while. Since I was obsessed with making really bad attempts at manipulating pictures of horses, because my friend used to. That was the first thing to be deleted! This summer I took a few pictures that I really liked, so I thought I'd post up here, and hopefully get some critique and comments on them. I don't want to be a professional photographer or anything, but part of the point of a hobby is improving your skills in it, isn't it?
